Ecólogo aviar

Janine Antalffy is an avian ecologist dedicated to advancing bird conservation through sound science and collaborative partnerships. She earned her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where her research on the endangered Bahama Oriole combined remote sensing and genetics research to inform conservation strategy through a better understanding of habitat distribution and population structure. Since then, in her current role as Avian Ecologist with the Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture, Janine’s work largely integrates on-the-ground field research, geospatial analysis, and robust statistical modeling to guide conservation planning for avian populations and their habitat within the West Gulf Coastal Plain and Mississippi Alluvial Valley.
