Jeff Bennett

Jeff brings a diverse set of skills linking hydrology and habitats. He earned his BS in Earth Science from Sul Ross State University in Texas. He earned his MS in Geology from Northern Arizona University, conducting research on river productivity. Jeff has managed water resources around copper mines in Arizona and New Mexico. Most recently, he worked as a hydrologist for the National Park Service in Big Bend National Park and the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River. He was involved with developing the science to support environmental flows for the Rio Grande as well as implementing grassland and stream restoration projects. He was the U.S. lead on the Conservation Assessment for the Big Bend-Río Bravo Region and has been working on conservation issues in the Big Bend Region for 15 years.
