Anikó Tótha

Bird Collision Glass Testing Program Coordinator

Anikó has been working in avian conservation since 2011. Some of her field work experience includes research with seabirds off the coast of California, Saltmarsh and Nelson’s Sparrow breeding success in Maine, a passerine stopover ecology study in the meadowlands of New Jersey, and the bird collisions glass testing tunnel in Bronx, New York. For the past 6 years she has been a keeper in the Department of Ornithology at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo overseeing one of the most diverse collections of birds in the world, with up close interactions and appreciation of their behaviors and ecology. Anikó received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at Ramapo College of New Jersey and her Master’s degree in Biology with Miami University of Ohio. Between her obvious passion for birds and dedication to conservation, Anikó will continue to work towards spreading ABC’s mission of bringing back the birds by focusing on stopping birds from colliding with glass. Anikó spends her down time hiking and exploring the great outdoors.
