Annie Hawkinson
International Conservation Project Officer
For the past decade, Annie has managed numerous avian research programs throughout the Americas. She has worked at macaw research centers in Costa Rica and Peru, and with banding, monitoring, and Motus efforts throughout the southwestern US. Prior to joining ABC, Annie worked at Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, where she led the wintering grassland bird monitoring program in the Chihuahuan Desert and collaborated closely with partner agencies, universities, and NGOs in both the US and Mexico. Annie completed her Master’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management at the University of Minnesota where she studied the role of prescribed fire and phenology in the management of golden-winged warbler breeding habitat.
