Eliana Fierro-Calderón
International Conservation Project Officer
Born and raised in Colombia, Eliana received a BS in Biology from Universidad del Valle in Cali and a MS in GIS from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. For over a decade she has been working for the conservation of threatened and endemic bird species and their habitats in the Andes and the Pacific coast of Colombia. Eliana is author of the conservation plans of four endangered bird species, as well as many books and other outreach materials. She also participated in several field research projects in Borneo, Ecuador, and the U.S.
