Lara Long

Lara (she/her) is passionate about birds, mission-driven work, and online marketing, and brings more than 15 years of experience raising funds online for prominent national nonprofits, including the Smithsonian Institution, Humane World for Animals (formerly the Humane Society of the United States), and Defenders of Wildlife. In addition to fundraising millions of dollars for these organizations, Lara has extensive expertise with online engagement, advocacy, list growth, and brand strategy. In her role at ABC, Lara works closely with both Communications and Marketing as well as Development to raise funds, increase Membership, and drive advocacy for ABC’s legislative priorities. She leads fundraising and ABC awareness campaigns that play out across online channels, including emails, web, social media, digital advertising, text messages, and more. Lara lives in Maryland and loves spending time outdoors with her family!
