Adam Knox
Aerial Deployment of Mosquitoes Project Manager
Adam has been active in conservation projects related to invasive species early detection and control since 2008. He was formerly the Operations Manager of the Maui Invasive Species Committee, a project of the University of Hawai‘i, and also previously worked as the Brown Treesnake Rapid Response Team Coordinator with the U.S. Geological Survey on Guam. Adam has worked on multiple aerial deployment projects related to invasive species control in Hawai‘i and his technical expertise related to aircraft use led him to join ABC as part of the Birds, Not Mosquitoes team. He earned a BS from Ohio State University and a MESM from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. In his free time he enjoys surfing, sailing, tinkering with radio controlled toys, and playing hide-and-seek with his young daughter.
