Austin comes to us from Pheasants Forever – Quail Forever and is very skilled in USDA farm bill program management. He will be a key member of guiding partner staff to deliver our RCPP project in Arkansas and Louisiana. A native of Arkansas, with almost 8-years of experience in both states, he is well-adapted to field practices and reporting. He has extensive experience delivering farm bill projects within NRCS field offices in both states. His work lead to the recently completed Morehouse Family Forest Initiative, a 4-year NFWF project which broke new ground and led the way for our current “Open Pine Restoration” RCPP project. Austin earned a BS in Wildlife & Fisheries Management from Arkansas Tech University, and has experience in forestry, wetland and upland conservation. Austin currently resides in North Louisiana with his wife and two very active young boys.
