Jamie Harrelson

An avid nature photographer and “bird nerd,” Jamie comes to ABC via a circuitous route, with a background in biology and avian conservation. She has worked for the Nature Conservancy, NC Wildlife Resources Commission, and Audubon, and she has a particular fondness for working with databases. Jamie earned an MS in Biology from Western Carolina University and studied Golden-winged Warbler behavior and ecology for her thesis. She lives in the mountains of western North Carolina and enjoys birding, hiking, and gardening with native plants in her spare time.
