Katharine Huggins
LMVJV WGCPO Conservation Delivery Coordinator
A native to Northwest Arkansas, Katharine came to Louisiana and worked in her previous position as a Coordinating Wildlife Biologist for Quail Forever with emphasis on delivering the Open Pine RCPP to landowners through NRCS conservation planning and collaboration with key partners. Katharine earned a B.S. in Agricultural Business from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR and a M.S. in Agricultural and Consumer Resources from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. Her passion for the outdoors, wildlife and conservation combined with her background in agricultural resource studies allowed her to successfully work in USDA-NRCS field offices to provide conservation delivery as a Quail Forever biologist, providing critical support to the Open Pine RCPP #1. Alongside the RCPP, she also delivered farm bill programs such as EQIP and CSP and gained extensive policy and programmatic knowledge. Looking forward to Open Pine RCPP #2, Katharine will be providing support for delivery staff across the 27 counties in Arkansas and 20 parishes in Louisiana while continuing to do what she enjoys most- collaborating and working with partners to build great habitat.
