Linnea Rowse
Great Lakes Private Lands Director
Linnea is an avid birder and has worked in the avian conservation field for more than 15 years. Linnea grew up in Minnesota, with parents who encouraged her to get outdoors and got her involved with birding at an early age. Linnea’s work experiences include field research in breeding ecology, migratory stopover habitat use, songbird banding, behavioral studies, and habitat management and restoration for forest and grassland birds and wildlife. Prior to joining the ABC team, Linnea most recently worked for Michigan Audubon where she managed more than 4,000 acres of land, promoted bird-friendly practices, and engaged the public in conservation and bird research efforts in Michigan. Linnea received her B.S. in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from the University of Rhode Island, and her M.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from The Ohio State University. Linnea’s passion lies in connecting birds and people while employing ecologically sound science, research, and education to accomplish landscape-scale bird conservation.
