Molly brings over a decade of experience in communications, writing, and editing in the nonprofit sector to her role as Writer/Editor. She comes to American Bird Conservancy after five years in environmental and conservation-focused roles with Second Nature and the National Aviary, and brings a justice and equity lens to her work thanks to her time with the YWCA in her hometown of Youngstown, Ohio. Molly holds an MA in Biology from Miami University, where she studied the role of climate emotions in communication, and a BA in Anthropology from Youngstown State University. Molly is based in Pittsburgh and enjoys reading, trail running, and of course, birding. Her freelance writing has appeared in Wild Hope and Jacobin magazines, among other outlets. Her spark bird is the American Woodcock.
