A south Texas native, Robert retired from Texas Parks and Wildlife in 2021 after serving in various roles mostly related to upland game birds. With nearly 30 years of experience as a wildlife professional, he has led strategic planning efforts and has contributed to the design and implementation of numerous national, regional and state initiatives and plans. Robert holds BS and MS degrees in Biology from Texas State University where his Master’s work focused on the survival of wild and pen-raised northern bobwhite.
