Sara Anrrich

Development Officer

Growing up in a family of conservationists, Sara developed an early appreciation for the natural world that continues to shape her career today. She brings a deep commitment to protecting and restoring ecosystems, while supporting the people who steward the forests and landscapes on which we all depend.

Prior to joining ABC, Sara served as Biodiversity Director at the American Forest Foundation where she oversaw a program that delivered 20,600+ acres of habitat improvement for threatened and at-risk species. She also held multiple roles managing the American Tree Farm System, the nation’s largest and oldest family forest certification program. Most recently, Sara helped launch a brand new $450 million grantmaking initiative at the USDA Forest Service to grow emerging markets for nature-based climate solutions and to support sustainable forest management on private lands.

Sara graduated with honors from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. She lives in Washington, DC and enjoys teaching yoga, travel planning, and practicing shinrin-yoku (a.k.a. forest bathing) in Rock Creek Park.
