Sussy de la Zerda

Sussy received a BA in Biology from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota and a MS in Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech. She has extensively studied the effects of transmission lines on birds and ways to mitigate their impact. Sussy is a founding member of the Bogota and Colombian Ornithological Associations, and co-authored the Guide to the Birds of the Sabana of Bogota. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and singing and playing the cello when there is time.
