Todd Alleger

Atlantic Flyway Motus Coordinator

Todd is an avian biologist who has contributed to multifarious bird research and conservation projects throughout North America over that last 12 years. He received a BS in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont in 2011. Since 2015, he was a key component of the bird conservation program at Willistown Conservation Trust, a land trust in southeastern Pennsylvania. Much of his work with Willistown involved leading songbird and owl migration banding efforts and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and operation of more than 125 Motus stations in the Northeast as part of the Northeast Motus Collaboration, with some organic vegetable farming thrown in for good measure.

He joins ABC as the Atlantic Flyway Motus Technical Coordinator, a position that as a part of the Motus Central team with Birds Canada partners will be key in developing, organizing, centralizing, and implementing best practices on the installation and maintenance of Motus stations throughout the Americas. Todd spends most of his free time gardening and learning how to repair an old house, but also enjoys knitting, surfing, and traveling to new places.
