Great Lakes Oak Ecosystem Private Lands Forester

Tommy graduated from Southern Illinois University studying Forestry and has worked as a Forester for The Nature Conservancy in Indiana, Colorado State Forest Service, as well as a consulting forester. He also brings experience as a wildland firefighter on wildfires and controlled burns through the Midwest and western US. Tommy enjoys seeing how the effects of treatments such as timber harvesting or controlled burns can influence the forest and push the forest towards a desired species composition. His favorite tree is White Oak and his favorite bird is White-breasted Nuthatch.
