Amy Upgren

Amy is the Director of International Programs at ABC, a role she has held since 2023. She joined ABC in 2016 and previously served as the Alliance for Zero Extinction (AZE) Program Coordinator. With more than 15 years of experience in conservation across Latin America and the Caribbean, Amy has managed bird conservation projects in Brazil, Jamaica, Chile, and Mexico. Amy holds a B.A. from Haverford College and a Master’s in Environmental Management from Duke University, where she completed her thesis on riparian ecology in the Brazilian Cerrado. Prior to joining ABC, she worked with Conservation International and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
