Anna Matthews

Anna was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She left Texas for the freezing weather at the University of Minnesota to receive a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife. While there, she discovered a passion for birds, grassland conservation, and education, which she continued to develop while obtaining her MS at Texas State University. Her thesis work involved the development of detection and density models for several priority grassland bird species in Texas using the Oaks and Prairies Joint Venture monitoring data.
