Maribel Guevara

Maribel is Chair of American Bird Conservancy’s Board of Directors. Born and raised in Quito, she holds a degree as a professional tourist guide of Ecuador. She has been an environmental and documentary film programmer for the past 17 years, collaborating with film festivals in the US and abroad. Maribel founded the ECOador International Film Festival in 2016, the first environmental film festival in Ecuador where she curates the film program. Her love for birds only started 7 years ago but continues to grow. She lives with her family in San Francisco, CA.
